Now that the holidays are gone (Oh how I miss them *dramatic sigh*) the craving for fluffy blankets, steaming beverages, and hot soups is bigger than ever. Vanilla steamers are ever-so-popular, and for good reason. The two big downfalls, however are the price and the sugar content. A grande vanilla steamer contains almost 37 grams of sugar. That’s already over the amount of sugar you are supposed to have in a day. Luckily, there is a better, healthier, (cooler) option. Using only a french press, you can create a thick, creamy layer of foam. Let’s get started.
- 1/2-1 cup milk. (I’ve tried with almond and whole milk)
- 1 T Torani Vanilla Syrup
- Start by heating your milk in the microwave for approximately 40 seconds. (this depends on your microwave)
- Pour your warm milk and your syrup into your french press. Without bring the plunger above the surface of the milk, punge the top up and down rapidly. Be careful not to splash.
- Pour your foamy milk into a mug and enjoy 🙂
